This 1914 North Vancouver school was awarded the City of North Vancouver Heritage Award, the 2014 Heritage BC Award, and achieved LEED Gold Certification.  As a seismic upgrade the renewal included accommodation for 350 students, 60 kindergarten students and a childcare centre.  The new design reorganizes the layout within the existing learning environment.  The three storey open atrium at the Main Entrance displays historical artifacts from North Vancouver’s cultural history in a bright and welcoming feature space.
