DA worked with the School District #43 (Coquitlam) in securing approval from the Ministry of Education for this 6 classroom addition.   We subsequently designed the addition to accommodate 2 kindergarten classrooms, 4 classrooms, special education rooms and washrooms.

DA’s typical design approach to school additions is to integrate the new addition into the fabric of the existing school as much as possible, unless it is functionally deficient.  Therefore, the design of the addition reflects the existing classrooms and adopts a similar architectural expression as the existing school.
