DA designed the two-storey addition to Lynn Valley Elementary School in North Vancouver. The addition will increase the capacity of the existing school by 145 students. Currently under construction, it is expected to welcome students in early 2026.

The addition includes 2 new kindergartens and 4 new classrooms. Renovations in the existing school will further add 1 additional classroom and a new media-tech space. The kindergartens are clustered around a shared common area with large bi-fold doors to create one large space. The classrooms on the second floor of the addition share a Commons area. This is similar to the classroom layout of the nearby Argyle Secondary. It allows intermediate elementary school students to become familiar with how Argyle is structured before they attend it.

The exterior expression of the addition takes inspiration from the existing school. This creates a seamless transition, and unifies the two into one continuous design.
