DA Architects + Planners developed a master plan to rejuvenate the campus and buildings of this unique institution. The Pearson College Renewal Master Plan is an important resource for fundraising activities by articulating the vision, educational & functional objectives and specific improvements required to renew the forty-year-old campus.
Pearson College UWC (United World College) is a two-year pre-university school. It is located approximately 30 km southwest of Victoria on Vancouver Island in a pristine natural waterfront setting. The college is home to 200 students who come from over 100 different countries.
DA proposed a comprehensive series of objectives and initiatives improving the educational pursuits and daily life of students and faculty. Strategies for sustaining the campus in a harmonious relationship with the natural environment are also integrated into the plan. An implementation plan is included that phases these initiatives over the course of three three-year projects.
