We are excited to announce that our Cloverley Elementary School project in North Vancouver has achieved CAGBC’s Zero Carbon Building – Design v3 Standard™. (Project Np. 24424) To read more about the Zero Carbon Building Design Standard V3 click here!
Cloverley Elementary will be an all-electric facility with a high performance building envelope. It is anticipated to reduce operational greenhouse gas emissions by over 80% compared to a traditional school.
The project features the use of mass timber to further reduce the building’s embodied carbon footprint. Integrated into the Learning Commons roof is an array of south-facing PV panels with remaining south-facing sloped roof area designed to accommodate the installation of PV panels in the future.
